Both schools are proud of their educational heritage and the fact that generations of children have left St Martin’s and West Butterwick schools with a love of learning, well prepared for Secondary School and adult life. The Trentside Confederation values both academic and personal success and aims to provide our pupils with the learning experiences, care and support they need to achieve this. We encourage pupils to develop as creative, innovative and responsible individuals within a learning community that values the input of the pupils themselves as well as parents, Governors, the Church and the wider Community.
The Confederation, established in 2006 to provide strength and stability to both schools, has extensive facilities available as a result of a recent building programme and refurbishment projects. Both schools foster an ethos of care and commitment in developing the 'whole child’ in the belief that each person is created in God’s image. Achievement is promoted and valued across all areas of the curriculum and school life, underpinned by happiness and the opportunity to succeed.
You are warmly invited to make an appointment to visit our wonderful schools – We look forward to welcoming you!
