Welcome to our schools' website. Both schools within the Trentside Confederation (St Martin's Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School and West Butterwick Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School) are proud of their educational heritage, which is rooted historically in Christian Belief. Generations of children have left our schools with a love of learning, well prepared for Secondary School and adult life. We value both academic and personal success and aim to provide our pupils with the learning experiences, care and support they need to achieve this.
St Martin's and West Butterwick have a shared aim to provide opportunities for all to learn and achieve within a happy, structured and disciplined Christian environment. We welcome everyone to our village schools here in Owston Ferry and West Butterwick where all faiths, cultures and disabilities are received with love, care and respect.
Pupils are encouraged to develop as creative, innovative and responsible individuals within learning communities that value the input of the pupils themselves as well as parents, Governors, the Church and the wider Community . Both schools pride themselves on their ability to offer a rich and diverse curriculum, with extensive extra-curricular opportunities. You are warmly invited to make an appointment to visit our schools – We look forward to welcoming you!! Mrs Josephine Buckle, Headteacher.
